Ajay Devgn's nephew, Aaman Devgan, and Raveena Tandon's daughter, Rasha Thadani are making their big Bollywood debut with the upcoming film. Azaad trailer was unveiled yesterday at a grand event held in Mumbai.
Azaad trailer revolves around a loyal horse named Azaad and how Aaman’s character is determined to make Azaad his own. Rasha's character is introduced someone from a loyal family and there is a parallel love story between Aaman and Rasha.
Aaman Devgan's character considers Ajay Devgn's character as a role model and he joins him on his journey as 'baaghi' (rebel).
The trailer of Azaad begins with Aaman’s character praising the horse, calling it “smart”. He says, “Vikram Singh ka ghoda hai Azaad”. In the next frame, we are introduced to Ajay Devgn as Vikram Singh, who is a baaghi against the Britishers. Then Aaman meets Vikram Singh who asks, “Ghod sawari jaante ho? (Do you know horse riding?)” Aaman replies, “Ghudsawari ke pyaar mein hi toh apke jaisa daaku bane hai hum (I became a bandit like you only for my love for horse riding.)” Ajay then says, “Not bandits, baaghi.”
Some clips also show Aaman’s failed attempts at riding Azaad. He then complains, “Iska daru, khana, paani sab dekh rahe hai, par yeh humein baithne bhi nahi deta hai (I have been his caretaker but he never lets me ride him)'' followed by a dialogue by Ajay Devgn, “Rishwat se toh insaan kabu mein aate hai… ghoda paseene mein bahaduri aur wafa ke mehak se (Bribery can control people, horses are controlled with pride and loyalty).”
The trailer also shows Britishers wanting to send Indian labourers to South Africa, and villagers requesting to stop the torture. Will Aaman be able to free the villagers from the torture of the Britishers? Well, for that you have to wait for January 17.
The film also stars Diana Penty, who will play Ajay’s love interest.
